We are supporting the survival of rare breeds that are currently placed in the ‘At Risk’ category on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust Watchlist. These rare, and sometimes primitive breeds have better tasting meat. However, because they are not considered commercial, they have become less popular to farmers over the years.

Our hogget is a primitive rare breed Manx Loaghtan, native to the Isle of Man. Naturally grown to over 12 months of age, they are 100% grass fed. Fine boned and late maturing, Manx produce a dark meat that is naturally rich and succulent, with a distinctive taste and intense flavour – similar to that of game. As well as being tastier than commercial lamb, it is also healthier, having less fat and cholesterol.

Our leg of lamb makes a show-stopping roast dinner for smaller gatherings. Leaving the bone in our lambs leg adds more flavour to your roast and will produce juices to give depth to your gravy.
